Glad you "came back"! You're always welcome. Your STR yarn is beautiful. I like it, but I like many others also. I guess my very favorite is Liza Souza yarns. She is an independent fiber artist. Google her if you want to search for her yarns. No connection, just a very happy customer.
You asked about Pony Pearl DPNS. They are 6 inches, plastic, over a metal core. They have just a tiny bit of bend in them. I am not sure why I like them, but I do! They are inexpensive ($5.50 I think) for a set of 5. I have many many sets..! I get mine from "Theknitter.com".
When Sofee was a wee pup, she chewed on any needles that were wooden, or bamboo. I didn't care for metals, so I tried Pony Pearls, and have loved them ever since. Occasionally there will be a rough place on the tip, which I smooth with a fine emeory board. I think that happens in the manufacturing process. But for the price.... Oh, and "TheKnitter.com" has free shipping. Again, no connection, just happy shopper. I have broken a few, so not indestructable, but pretty durable. IMO, as they say.
