R and R trip

this is the view from our room where my DH spent most of the time. He just wanted to chill.

And here is a picture of where i spent most of my time and lots of money. It's a casino, the Diamond Jo. it used to be a boat now it's a very nice new stand alone building. But still on the river.

I did do a little knitting until i started seeing specks then i figured it was time to stop. this is what i was knitting, it's another pair of "Carl's Cable Socks" using Debbie Bliss Cashmerino and size 2 DPN. I've made two a couple of years ago and just love them.

Since AT & T upgraded service I'm not having any problems, as i have in the past, Uploading pictures.
Happy Knitting everyone!!!

HERE THEY ARE...........

As promised here are some pictures of things i've knitted while not blogging.
I'm good at ripping out, and here i did it again. i tried frogging and lost my patients. this will soon just be a ball of yarn.
do not fret, i will reknit them into beautiful socks.

This is a shawl using Malabrigo merino worsted weight yarn. it was a kit that i won as a door prize at "Stitches" in 2007.
it took forever weaving in the loose ends. when i wear it, which i love doing cause it's so cozy, not many people comment.
I love wearing it to play poker up at potawatomi casino in milwaukee, wi. cause it's always so cold in the room.

A few knitted bowls, so much fun to knit these.

OH YES

I'M READING BLOGS TODAY

WELL

look at the date and no post for almost a month.
i guess it really doesn't matter much seeing i get so few
visitors anyway. what make a site get so many followers and
what makes a blog site get so few. that's an easy one. my site must be BORING people to tears.
isn't that interesting?

i guess that just gives me more time too knit, less comments to read and
answer.
i entertain myself all the time. I'm my best blog site reader for sure.

So where are the pics?

Can't believe it's been almost a month and still no pictures. it's because when i try and upload a picture form my digital camera i have so much trouble and sometimes it takes 20 or so minutes and even then no go. when i use photo booth, no problem at all but so hard to get a good shot.
However, i'm going to do it soon, i promise.
happy knitting.

this is what i'm working on now. a banky for someone special. photo taken using photo booth.

RAINY DAY...........

So i'm off to the Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for a little poker playing.
i know this has nothing to do with knitting, but i thought i'd mention it anyway.
I'm going to gather up some of the things i've knitted while i was away from blogging. Mostly socks, (of course)
so if your interested come on back in a few days to see.
HAPPY KNITTING!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S A PAIR

One of the reasons I'm glad to be back to blogging is the fact that blogging is a wonderful way to journal your knitting project.
this pair i found so easy, yes, I did do some swearing do to many mistakes. But that's just me.
The first sock of the pair was finished Feb.21,2009. The reason I remember that is cause that is the day my husband said he was going out for the mail. I said wait let me show you the sock. So I have the finished sock on on foot and the other foot has a different sock on and that is how i spent that evening in the hospital. Cause.................

It was snowing that day, so i followed my husband after a few minutes to make sure he wasn't shoveling. Well yes he did try to shovel and had a heart attack. called 911 and a day later he had open heart surgery. 6 by-pass, yes I did say 6, and a new valve.
And that is the reason it took so long for the other sock to get done.
My husband is recovering nicely, Lucky man to say the least.
The pattern is an easy one. Kaffe Fassett Socks i found on the internet. I used 2 skeins of Regia 4-fach haltbar in crazy color.
I used size 2 DPN's.
Now i'm starting another pair same pattern different color yarn.
I AM GLAD TO BE BACK!!!

July 17, 2007..........

That was the date that I bought this book. I just love knit toys and I thought these dolls were so very cute..
So did I knit any dolls yet? Of course I didn't. What is my excuse? I don't have one.
Hopefully one of these days i'll finish the socks that I have on needles and start these cute dolls.
You know I'll post a picture if and when that day ever comes.
Stay tuned.
I just wanted to post a better picture of the nice gift i received from my friend Jackie.
It's a real nice, as you can see, purse by PERLLINI. I'm putting it to good use, and enjoying it very much.
Again, a big thank you to Jackie.
The other picture was taken using photo booth a mac application.

It's been so long...................

since i've posted anything. I'm not sure if i even know how to upload a photo or get anything highlighted, but i'll try and get back into the swing of it.
Knitting has been somewhat horrible, I have 5 pair of socks waiting to be picked up and fixed. Either i dropped stitches while doing a pattern and just can't frog it, or i've dropped so many stitches (pulling out the wrong needle) or something dumb happened.

Anyway there are a few people I miss, and you know who you are, so i'm going to blog again, or give it a try.
Jackie, thanks again for your very thoughtful and wonderful gift. I am using it and enjoying it.

OK I GIVE IN.............................

Well I can't find my knitting journal so i decided to blog . It's been a very long time.
i've been knitting lots and lots and not blogging or entering it into my journal.
Why I don't know, don't ask.
Today I'm starting another pair of wool socks for my DH.
He has been asking for another pair ever since I finished his last pair, Which
happens to be the last entry into my blog. I titled it "finished" not realizing that
I was also finished wanting to blog.
But being a women, i'm entitled to change my mind.
So today i'm entering again, will I keep it up? Don't know, time will tell.
I'm using one of my fav. yarns, Cascade 220. Two hanks of a pretty blue
color 8339 lot 9670.
The pattern will be the same as the last pair, the gray pair.
Welcome back, Bobbi

WDW TRIP.......

Getting in the mood for our Walt Disney World trip. Check my ticker counter at the right to see when we leave.
We love figment who lives in Epcot, and of course we will visit him there.

I get a lot of knitting done while we are there.
We always stay for 15 days. That’s a lot of time to just knit and enjoy Disney World.
So most of my important packing is what patterns and yarn should I take?
I can bet you it will be mostly SOCKS. I love knitting socks and I have tons of yarn just waiting their turn to be knit.
Last time we were there, which was this last March 2007, I found a LYS about 45 min away.Well according to the GPS,
It should have taken us 45 min.
but with the crazy Fl. traffic it took us 1 1/2 hours. I though it was worth it. Not according to DH tho.
I'm sure I’ll give the LYS another visit. I still have the yarn that I bought there last time, unknit.
Oh surprise at that. LOL!!
I just might post a picture of the shop if I remember to take my digital with.
Well back to knitting socks for my DH, he can hardly wait for me to finish them.
And neither can I so I can get on to something for ME, ME, ME, ME, ME.

ALMOST THERE..............

It's been so long since I've started working on this sweater, but I"m almost there.
I'm still seaming it. Cause I am not too thrilled about seaming, I'm taking my time.
So Shirley this is for you.

I just wanted to share.
Of course it's much prettier in person. Anyone interested, I'll give you the address.

JUST FORGET OCTOBER SOCKS

Here are my october socks. They don't look like socks you say, well you are correct.
i've started them 4 times and ripped them each time.

So I decided to put them aside and knit some purses.

there is no ripping, no swearing, no throwing anything, just calm knit, knit, knit.
I use Cascade 220 along with an eyelash yarn. If you read my blog you might have seen this purse before.
I don't use a purse so they will make nice gifts, or a bazaar sale. I've tried ETSY, but don't have much luck selling there.
I really think you need to see this purse in person, they are so cute.
I do plan on going back to the socks, Roza's Socks, but not for a while. A long while. LOL!!
happy knitting to you all!

A very bad post...........

I'm walking here! I'm walking here!
MIDNIGHT COWBOY 1969
If you're a movie buff like myself, you might be familiar with famous quotes from movies.
This is #27.
So one morning back in july the 14 to be exact, I was feeling
silly and I posted that stupid blog. Even my brother
knew what the post was but didn't think much of it. Oh Well!!
My brother is one of those people who loves movies and knows almost everything about moives.
In fact if you ever go on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" you might want him to be your
phone a friend regarding movies.

If you haven't seen this movie I strongly recommend you do.
It was an academy award winner.
It turns out that a taxi driver just drove onto the movie set, Dustin Hoffman not expecting
that came out with that now famous line.
Of course they decided to leave it in the movie.
So if anyone of my blog readers wondered what that post was all about, here's
the answer. I know most of you were. right?

Real Red

This is a felted purse. See my toes in the left hand corner
of the picture. The pattern is " The Lucy Bag" by "Two Old Bags" i got the pattern at Stitches Midwest. No not
this last August, the year before. I'm not doing to badly. Just a year!

The yarn i used in Red color, pretty obvious, is Plymouth's Galway.
I don't uses purses, so I'm going to try and sell it in an upcoming bazaar,
or as I've done in the past, give it away to some lucky person.

This picture is a drawing I did one semester for a school project.
I didn't care much for it untill I got an A on it. Then it started looking
better to me so I framed it and it hangs in my dining room. I shot the picture on an
angle to avoid the glare.
The subject had to be of food. Just thought you'd like to see just how talented I am. LOL!!
The picture looks better in person, so if your interested I'll send you my home address.

IT'S A MONKEY

I joined the "Monkey Sock" bandwagon. If you know anything about me you'll know that I used the yarn called for
in the pattern. Shelridge Farm Soft Touch Ultra Fingering Weight yarn.
I found it to be easy to knit with, and i liked the way it feels.

I was so excited when I saw them at Stitches Midwest, they seemed to be real nice people and I was
glad to buy directly from them. All the colors were so yummy looking.
This pair of "Monkey Socks" is for my daughter-in-laws mother for Christmas.
Lisa, my daughter-in-law, was so impressed with all the socks
that I made for myself, she couldn't resist wanting a pair.
Being the wonderful person that she is, she wanted a pair for her mother.
Lisa's mother doesn't read my Blog so I know I am safe in posting it.
So now on to one of my many other projects already in progess, but which one?
Happy Knitting!!!
