AND THE NEW PROJECT IS.........

It should be no surprise that the new project is a pair of socks. I thought it might be time to try something else. I have so many projects waiting to be knit, the patterns and yarn all nicely packaged. Some of them for years, and what do I choose to knit next, a pair of socks.
the pattern is "Carl's Cable Socks" form KnittingWisdomcom. I've made them before in light blue using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino, this time a darker blue that goes so well with jeans.
Today along with knittng, of course, I plan on baking a couple of loafs of bread and spending a lot of time in the gazebo. It's a great place to knit.
Maybe Michelle would like to join me.
Now It's time to get my bod in the shower and get in some Yoga.

One More Thing

I forgot to mention the pattern and the yarn I used.
The pattern is "Tabi Socks" from the book "Not Just More Socks"
and I used the yarn that the pattern called for which is Lana Grossa Meilenweit Inca
It's 80% virgin wool and 20% polyamide.
It a machine washable yarn, but I'm going to hand wash them.

ONE TOE, TWO TOES

They fit nicely, and feel good. I can't wait to try them out with my flip flops.
Notice, one toe pattern matched on the right foot sock, but the left foot did not.
Anybody know why? don't hesitate to tell me if you do, I have yarn to knit
two more pairs
I think it's time to put the DPN's down and try knitting something else, only problem is, socks are so fun to knit.
It's an addiction.
Of course it's not like I don't have any other patterns to choose from.
I'm sure I'm not the only knitter that spends hours and hours on line downloading more patterns and checking out yarn
at the different yarn sites. It's so easy to add to our stash.
Well I think I'm going to sleep on it, a new project that is, and think about it tomorrow.

only 1 L, I knew that

It was the key board,
only 1 L in control

STR delivery

well I've not started my first STR yet, and now I just received the April kit.
Great looking yarn, and beautiful colors. I'm not sure if I like the lenght of the sock and I've never knit socks on circular needles,, (only knit 3 1/2 pairs so far) So I'm not so sure about that either.
I'm kinda holding off with toe up socks, I've signed up for a class at Stitches for that, so why teach myself when I paid to learn, what a predicament.
I best get knitting, I'm still woking on tabi socks, just about finished- pictures to come.
I'm trying to practice for the May concert coming up and knitting along with it. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!
My stash keeps growing and growing, I'm trying to get it down so I can buy more at the Midwest Stitches Event coming in Aug.
I could do it if I'd just stop adding to the stash.
it's just so easy to keep buying.
I need to hang around Michelle more, she's a good influence she has better controll over spending.

Are you out there?

hello to all my readers
well do you think it's the weather that is causing my headaches, or what?

I'm almost done with the right sock, if i'm doing it correctly is an other story, i'll see shortly.
not sure you can tell much form the pictures, put i'll post them anyway.
today is going to be a beautiful weather day, in the 70's and that is saying a lot for here in il. lately,
so I"m planning on sitting out in the gazebo, and that's right, KNITTING!
I hope my friend Michelle is feeling better, I missed our knitting get together.

both down, niiice

Feels so good

look what I bought!

raining cats and dogs in philly

well I'm sitting in the cafe in our hotel in center city philly, pa watching the rain come down. it's dark and wet, no worry about getting a migraine form the sun on the car ride home.
while here i finished my "carl cable socks" and started my tabi socks using lana grossa, I like the yarn a lot, it's tightly woven and strong, I'm enjoying knitting with it.
Yesterday, I walked to a knit shop on South St. here in center city philly. And yes, I spent more than I should have. I have enough stash to keep Lindenhurst, Il. knitting for years to come. However, I fell in love with a Mac and Me pattern for opera gloves using Koigu yarn. Of course it took me a long time to choose a color, one was #226, so If you know me I had to buy that one. I also bought the other one that was in the running.
